Summary:
Behavior Consultants provide ABA services to children and families in their homes and the community. The Behavior Consultant completes functional behavior assessments, behavior support plans and treatment plans, provides parent/caregiver training, and carries out the interventions detailed in the client's plan.
The In-Home Support Services opened in 2019 with the mission of improving the quality of life for youth with cognitive challenges and extraordinary behavioral needs. IHSS provides services to clients in La Crosse, Monroe, and Vernon Counties.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team of trained behavior professionals working with local families in the community.
Information:
- Full-Time, salaried position
- Typical hours between 8:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday but requires flexibility to work evenings or weekends to meet client needs
- Paid learning opportunities and possibilities for advancement
- We offer fieldwork supervision for those pursing BCBA.
- Ability to work remote
Must possess:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Time management skills & reliable work ethic
- Ability to work independently
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Must have a reliable vehicle to drive to clients' homes.
- Mileage reimbursement is offered

Job Duties:
- Complete functional behavior assessments, behavior plans, and treatment plans under the supervision of the Director of IHSS .
- Provide support to the Behavior Technicians who are working directly with clients on your caseload.
- Teach independent living skills, social skills, play skills and replacement behaviors.
- Provide parent training.
- Communicate with clients and parents, demonstrating respect, collaboration, compassion, learning and safety.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
Education Requirements: Master's degree in Psychology or a field related to Applied Behavior Analysis. Will consider those currently enrolled in a Master's program and working towards BCBA certification.
